"French wood Chandelier lighting gold leaf and paint, embellished metal brass bugs, hard wired ready to hang by Anita Spero Design"
Fabulous gold wood, metal and brass chandelier lighting. It measures 32" high and 25" across, with a 17" chain. Carved into the chandelier is a design of different types of leaves, with pine cones at the top and bottom.
I painted it using a blend of golden paints in different tones and wrapped it in gold leafing, (some being 24K leaf), with hints of silver under the the tulip leaf style candle holders. The leafing brings texture, and a wonderful variety of color and more shimmer. A clear glossy finish adds protection, and enhances the gold even more.
It's adorned with a beautiful set of tiny, individual brass bugs. This isn't just a light fixture, it's a conversation piece as well!
I painted all 6 covers in a gold to give it a seamless look, which also gives the arms an appearance of being longer. What a lovely chandelier to put over a table to bring in some fun conversation. Classy elegance with a bit of humor. It is hardwired and the ceiling cap has also been 24k. gold leafed.
