Cherub statue with handmade rhinestone crown by Anita Spero

This one sold. This beautiful cherub measures: 14" tall and 16" with crown. 9" wide and 10" deep. I painted and distressed it using only my homemade paint, distressing techniques and patinas that I've been using for years. (I receive them as a smooth gray resin mix and give them the texture and depth you see. This creates the look of aged plaster or cement). I create all my crowns and each one is a one of a kind. I made the metal band which is bolted and gave it an aged gold appearance. I embellished it with high end/ high quality vintage and antique rhinestone jewel pieces. Some are Weiss, Juliana and Eisenberg. I do have my signature pieces a heart and key, and typically a cross which was not added to this one and instead I added more than one key. In the beginning I added pearls for some shabby charm which I have stuck with all these years. My cherubs are very collectible. To date I've created around 655 of them and no 2 are the same. It will be going on 14 years with these. I have customers who collect them, give as gifts, memorial pieces or to add to their home.
